Objectives:

The focus of intermediate module is to train the practitioner to develop improvement projects in medium-complexity, giving support to the company in structuring its processes and in the fulfillment of the department goals.

Target Audience:

  • Professional from diverse working areas in the company.

Pre requirements:

  • There is no pre requirements for this training. It is suggested that the practitioner have the profile to lead changes and to have already completed the basic module.

Course Duration:

  • 24 hours.

Programmatic Content:

Introduction   

  • Identifying the customers.
  • Fluxo DMAMC (Definir, Medir, Analisar, Melhorar e Controlar)
  • DMAIC flux (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control)

Define

  • Indentifying Projects
  • Identification of the customer needs – voice of the customer/ voice of the process
  • Defining project metrics
  • Scope definition – Matrix: it is and it isn’t / SIPOC
  • Project charter

Measure   

  • Introduction to Measure Phase
  • Process Map
  • Cause and Effect Diagram (Fishbone)
  • Cause and Effect Matrix
  • Effort X Impact Matrix
  • Data type (continuous and discrete)
  • Basic Statistic – measurements of position, variation and normal curves.

Analyze

  • Introduction to the Analyze Phase
  • Statistical Analysis Map
  • Basic Graphics – Pareto / Box Plot / Dispersion Diagram / Trend

Improve

  • Introduction to the Improve Phase
  • Generation of action plans (5W2h)
  • Change Management

Control 

  • Introduction to Control Phase
  • Mistake Proofing Devices
  • Basic principles of Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Training Modalities:

  • In company – carried out in closed classes, by customer request.

Requirements for Certification:

  • There is not a specific certification for this methodology.
  • All participants receive the certificate of training conclusion.

Specific Needs for Training Attendance:

  • Computers – should be one for each three attendants
  • Use of Minitab statistical software
